Fernie's First Big Hike

This is my child, my sweet baby girl, the love of my life. She's absolute chaos at all times! They say that Saints are calm and chill, well I have yet to experience that! This girl has the zoomies most of the day. I decided it was time to get her big floofly butt out into the mountains and start draining of her all this energy.

Saints can easily over heat with their double coats so we made sure to take lots of breaks. Luckily, it was a nice cool day, in the 70's, and with the tree cover and lots of river stops, she stayed cool for the 8 miles we did. It was very slow going but she did it! And even after all that, she still got the zoomies that evening. Probably safe to say I'm just stuck with giant fluffy ball of energy.
